The Controller will oversee all financial functions of the firm, including accounting, budgeting, financial reporting, and compliance. This role requires a deep understanding of law firm financial management, trust accounting, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities
Oversee day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger management.
Prepare and analyze financial statements, budgets, and forecasts.
Ensure compliance with trust accounting regulations and legal industry financial standards.
Develop financial policies and procedures to improve operational efficiency.
Work closely with partners to provide financial insights and strategic recommendations.
Manage external audits and tax reporting processes.
Implement and optimize financial systems and software.
Supervise and mentor accounting staff.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or MBA preferred).
Minimum of 10 years of experience in financial management, preferably in a law firm or professional services environment.
Strong knowledge of trust accounting and compliance requirements.
Proficiency in financial software (e.g., QuickBooks, Aderant, Elite, or similar legal accounting systems).
Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
Ability to work effectively with attorneys, staff, and external financial partners.
